What sort of trailers can I use your Trailer Moving System to move?

We’ve designed our trailer movers to move virtually any type of trailer from curtain siders to refrigerated units. Depending on which model you choose, our Trailer Moving System can be used to move unladen trailers of up to 44,000 lbs.

This flexibility means that once a trailer becomes movable with the fitting of axles and wheels during production, it’s easy to couple it to the trailer tugger and move it to another part of the factory for assembly to continue or to move it short distances once the trailer is complete.

Is an operator license or training required?  

No, unlike shunters or trucks, the Trailer Moving System does not require a license to operate. A license-free operation reduces downtime and maximizes operational efficiency, reducing wasted time waiting for a licensed driver. 

How are electric tuggers powered?  

Electric tuggers are battery powered, with interchangeable batteries or lithium options available, electric tuggers can deliver 24/7 operation to keep your processes moving. Offering zero emissions from the point of use, electric tuggers are ideally suited for indoor use, replacing internal combustion engine powered equipment such as forklifts or tow tractors.  

How do trailer movers connect?    

Our trailer movers connect via the standardized kingpin connection. This creates a secure connection and enables outstanding maneuverability - without the cost and complexity of shunters. Loads can quickly and easily be connected, improving operational efficiency.
